This tiny house is one of the closest projects to my heart. To me it represents natural building at its best. The client Joyce, trusted me fully to make decisions. With a general idea of her needs, location, size, and budget, we agreed to a proposal, and got to work. We harvested the stone for the foundation from outcroppings in the woods, built the round wood timber frame with pines recently felled in an ice storm. The lumber for the roof was purchased at a sawmill down the road. The clay used in the cob walls was dug onsite.
